Anyone?

Thank you.

Uuuuuh

What about following the instructions that come with perlfect

They seemed straightforward enough to me. But if you have very little experience with servers/unix it can be confusing. I think you need to be more specific in telling what goes wrong to recieve more help.

Ok. They are straight-forward to you due to your experience. I am not aware of the language working with servers nor unix. :)

I have the program uploaded but I go to run setup.pl, which I thought was practically like a exe in the sense it unravels itself or setups up itself, but there popped up a html page with a lot of coding.

The instructions seemed to indicate that the setup could provide some interaction, as in asking certain questions and you would respond by either clicking the yes or no button, but the setup feature is not running for me.

This is the problem that requires ones' help.

Are you familiar with this program janderk?

Probably a stupid question: did you run the setup.pl from the telnet prompt? I get the impression you called the perl script from your browser.

Wow. I wish you could communicate to me through some type of voice chat. :(

No. I do not recall using anything that is referred to as telnet. In the instructions and the website I remember that name and another name that either begins with an U or a L but I am not familiar with these names and I did not see it mentioned in their FAQ area indicating it was mandatory so I did not pursue further with the telnet usage.

I am really not in the knowing of these things janderk. It is difficult trying to describe to you what I know and do not on a forum.

No, is the answer to your question. I just read the instructions and uploaded the program to my site and attempted to run it from there through setup.pl as they stated.

By the way I have a host...I do not own my own domain and all.:\
