Deb, This is julieA of julies.net and I need to get in touch with you. I don't have email so I need to know how I can contact you all, I guess by mail. Although I have no computer at home at the moment [I took it apart and now I can't put it back together %) ] I want to get my domains paid up and back on line. ***@yahoo.com is my daughters email. Please send me an amount to get it back online and the subdomains [homeschoolcam.com messiahsriders.com, etc.], too and an address where I can mail a postal money order. I'd like to pay it for one year please. I don't really know what the status of my account is as I ran into some financial problems and couldn't pay for a couple of months. Looking forward to being back on line soon -- and back to computing if that tigerdirect order ever gets here and if I manage to put the computer back together again. My daughters mouse won't work but she keyboards to get her email. Funny thing is, she won't let me take hers apart to fix it. :o
sincerely, julieA

Hi Julie! Long time no hear :( Glad to see you are ok and it's mainly the computer being the problem.

You'll find Contact information, over and above email, at http://www.FutureQuest.net/Contact/

A separate email is being sent to the email address you provided within your post however I'll summarize below so that others as well are aware of how it works...

When an account is deactivated for 30 days or more it is then completely deleted from the servers. We do not store abandoned accounts for more than 30 days. Once deleted the best course of action is to re-order the accounts as new at which point you can upload your back-up files, if available, to the new account.

We'll be rooting for you Julie!

Weeeellll, I'm not exactly back yet but hopefully soon. My computer is in pieces and since Holly's mouse wouldn't work, I got on it this morning and decided what they heck- [she was gone, hee hee] I had this book on red hat linux 6 so i deleted, partitioned, repartioned, installed, re-installed, looked up hardware notes I'd taken over the years, re-installed, ect. ect. UNTIL. . . Finally, the Gnome gui appeared- xwindows? i think it's called and GUESS WHAT- The mouse STILL didn't work so it will DO NOTHING. So now I'm here at moms to check out this post I had left since obviously Holly can't get to that email address I posted earlier to find your reply to me [oops] and get a windows disk and go home and hmmm. Wonder what kind of processor is in her machine. I already took my motherboard out and hmmmm. Who knows. If not now, maybe soon.
sincerely, missing ALL of YOU GUYS,
julieA

Hi Julie,

If you're sure that the mouse is plugged all the way in to the back of the computer, and your computer has the correct mouse drivers, then maybe it is time to get a new mouse????

Good luck. Hope to see you back on FQ soon...

It appears to be the port on the motherboard which can't be replaced so I turned on mouseKeys and we are going to be unbelievably good at keyboarding when this is all over. I have a kit coming in soon and will attempt to put together a new 'puter. Boy, I wanted to learn hardware and I guess when this is all over, I'll have learned hardware. My nephew gave me a Compaq Presario and I put my AMD K-6 processor in the cpu spot. It cam on which is more than my generic computer did. Does that mean the processor is NOT fried? or does anyone know how to test it?

I know I heard of a company that gave some great discounts and deals to schools and parents who home school. I can rummage that up from some where if you'd like. The computers were old and refurbished, but I don't remember how much/little they cost.
