Is there an easy way to download the full version of Internet Explorer 5.5 from a Windows 2000 PC? (to install on a friend's Windows 98 system tommorrow who has just a 31.2 modem).
I used to be able to do this fine on NT, but now with 2000 I see:
"Internet Explorer Setup for Windows 2000 does not allow you to customize the installation or use any advanced options in the Setup program. This behavior occurs because of the new Windows File Protection (WFP) feature in Windows 2000" which doesn't make much sense to me. Why should this prevent me from downloading the files with a windows 2000 system to install on another computer? But anyway, is there somewhere I can download the full setup directory or an easy way to get around this?
