I thought it might be nice to summarize the upgrades that have been going on over course of the past few months and solidify the fact that the Legacy Upgrades are COMPLETE!! Whew ;)

Some of the more technical savvy already understand what was changed so I wont even attempt to go into that area as I think we can all agree there’s enough tech-talk going around the forums as it is. I’d just like to take a moment to breath errrr I mean thank all of you for your patience and encouragement as we brought each of the founding servers up to the same level as the newer servers.

I realize there are a lot of site owners out there (like me) who do not always understand the technical details that explain what the upgrades are for so consider this post the NON-Tech version.

FutureQuest is often requested, or required, to implement new features that require specific things to be able to function. Often times these things were available on the “newer servers” but not available for the “older servers”. Searching the forums will reveal many posts that said, “If you’re on the TAZ, SIX, NINE, SEVEN, or ASTRO Server... then this or that wont work”. The reason is because these servers were built many Internet moons ago without the newer technology that is available today.

The recent upgrades have brought these servers up to the same playing field that the newer servers are on. This means ALL SERVERS are currently capable of performing the same way and most importantly, the administrative nightmares for both FutureQuest, and the Site Owners with multiple accounts on different servers, have now been brought to an end.

Thank you once again for the awesome support each of you provides FutureQuest as a whole!

Hmmm I didn't realize anyone knew about my plans to use it for the storage of pay-per-click banner images that would be delivered by all of your web sites to fund my domain name addiction :P

Deb:

Would you throw in a fist-full of cookies, too? The world needs more of those.

:D

Ever browsed the 'net with cookie notices turned on? How many have you seen on one page?

Deb,

I know someone that could use a deal on 24.64 MB in really short order. ;)

We just had our 14th Texas Gathering, due in large part to the service that FQ provides.

Thanks!

Mont
