While The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk) likes juicy news, they make some good fun with the so known security experts in this article about how Code Red was going to kill the Internet.
Another very interesting point they make is about how ethical it is for eEye to publicize the .ida IIS hole they way they did just to make money selling their product.

There is quite a bit of disruption though. We are logging quite a few hits from our DSL neighbors, it is even worse on my cable modem at home. I thought this article was pretty funny though. MS can't even patch their own servers.

What is the default mail account on a W2K server?
One neighborly W2K machine attempted my personal firewall/webserver dozens of times in one day. Telnetting to port 25 shows they have an active SMTP service, but who do I write to about their little problem?
[I will now refrain from singing praises to ipf/apache. That's old news, anyway.] :)

The juicy stuff is all here (http://forums.delphi.com/Endian/messages).
Any thread with code red, gibson or greene in the title is a safe bet.
