Hi,
A friend of mine, who is running Windows 98, is having problems when they surf the net. When ever they open a new window the following error is produced :-
An error has occurred in the script on the page
Line : 89
Char : 3
Error : Syntax Error
Code : 0
On some pages the line and char numbers change as does the error. The error occurs when they surf using AOL as well as IE.
I've had a look on the MSDN web site, but I was unable to find anything of any use. The only page I found said to try changing the number of colours that Windows is using, I tried increasing and decreasing them but this made no difference.
I then tired reinstalling IE, no difference, after that I tried a reinstall of Windows, again no difference.
I would be grateful for any help anyone can give.
Steve.
