ScanDisk Problem

Bleah......

My ScanDisk is acting up again.

It keeps restarting the scandisk ten to eleven times, even with no TSRs present.

It also does not start up automatically when my computer crashes (you know, when you do not shut down Win 98 properly, scandisk automatically starts up).

Already reinstalled Win 98 in my system, and it is STILL acting up.

Help?

Tahna, there are all SORTS of programs running in the background you can't see without a special "process viewer" program.

Best thing to do is reboot to safe mode (hold the F8 key when rebooting) and run both scandisk and defrag there, then return to regular mode. That works great for me on my office PC that's loaded to the gills with programs, utilities, background tasks, etc.
