View Full Version : Time for new logo - opinions please :)

Hi everyone! I've been trying to find a new logo for the Jupiter Parents' site -- the old one was way too serious for me. So, after a year I decided to play around with a few designs. One that I'm leaning toward is this one:

But I'm still not 100% satisfied on the left border. I'm thinking more playful, but maybe it's better to be a bit softer...since there's so much going on. I've tried almost every other color, but I've settled on this gold-ish color. I'd love your opinions if you have the time :).

I like the new design and colours. I would, however, prefer a wider border on the left. It somehow seems crowded - by virtue of the fact that it is so slim - and even if you write nothing on it, a wider border gives the eyes more room to breathe. :)

Funny, I had a much wider border, but for some reason it just looked like it took up too much space LOL. I didn't try it with this latest color though...but I will.

I'm also playing around with making the child's pants light blue, including the text underneath (The 1st Online Community Resource...). Too much red I think :).

I know doing these animated images is a pain, but I'd recommend getting the kid's arms to move as well - it looks a bit... I don't know, "Puppet on a String" at the mo.

Oh, that's much better. You don't quite imagine the puppeteer loitering in a sinister way behind the logo any more...

I should say that the new colour is much nicer too, by the way.
