Hi all,

Several things seem to be broken at the moment (or at least they're broken from my perspective).

I can't access my site ( www.brightnova.com ) which is on Escher.
Also two others on Escher that I checked ( www.PS2FANTASY.COM and www.haworthlaw.com/ ) also seem to be broken.

Oh and I can access http://service.futurequest.net/ to tell anyone.

Problems logging on to my pop3 account.

And wierd stuff with regards to DNS on the futurequest.net nameservers.

So err I guess something is wrong then?

A bunch of stuff broken for me too. I can hit my website, but a friend of mine gets all kinds of weird errors trying it. Like you, I can't get to the service page. I can't log into the shell either.

Good its not just me then, my site was working uptil about an hour ago and then I was unable to connect to the mysql database, my mailbox is now getting stuffed with emails telling me there is a problem :)

I can access all the sites in the first post, and havent been able to reach the forums up until about 5 minutes ago

Wow, I'm glad I found this thread, I woke up this morning to a mailbox full of messages, the problems included account creation failures and logon failures, and these are the two areas of the site that I dread having problems in.

Well I am now relieved to know that the problem has been fixed, for a moment I thought my site may have been incompatible with the new MySQL engines or the new version of PHP.

I can relax now, before I have multiple simultaneous heart attacks... phrew.

I can't get email in either of my accounts, keep getting a error that it can't authenticate? I'd email the question to support.. but... err, no mail.

Good Morning Daniel,

If your sites are on the SIX Server the problem may be related to:
http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=50598#post50598

In any case letting us know what the sites in question are would be a great help :)

You can also always send your request for assistance to the Service Desk via the web based interface located at:
http://service.futurequest.net/tech/support.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php

Thanks,
Bob

I seem to remember something about the six server from years back but I'm not really sure, they are soho-news.com, and iatesta.net.
I read about the HD upgrades in server news first but wasn't sure if that applied to my sites or not.
thanks,
Daniel

Hi again Daniel,

Thanks for providing the Domain Information.

They are both located on the SIX server, however I was able to successfully send an email through both the mail servers for soho-news.com and iatesta.net.:agree:

You may wish to double check your settings and try again.

Hope this helps,
Bob

Daniel:

I had to make some adjustments to the Parked Domains...

Parked Accounts should be working as desired now...

Thank you for supplying me with the information I needed to isolate this...

I just tried getting the pop mail through yahoo which I have done in the past and it is giving me errors that way too, seems my username and/or password have been changed somehow?

Thanks, I got a message from earlier now and it isn't giving me any errors. But trying to send mail from one acct to the next which usually happens in seconds hasn't gone through yet, been a few minutes, not sure it is a issue or if it just is running really slow right now.

The Parked Domains had a minor problem in the quota system that has now been resolved...

I have also updated the 'catch-all' specifiers as well, so 'anything@soho-news.com' will work properly...
