Is SSI code the same on all servers?

The child safety org that I volunteer for currently has their pages .html -- there are sooo many pages, and I now need to change the mailing list on all the pages (it was hosted at Listbot). I have to move the list and change the sign-up box on every page, but first I have to check with the tech to see if they allow SSI on their site.

Question -- if they move the site elsewhere (which they are considering), would all the SSI coding have to be changed, or is it standard?
