gif file problems in UBB6

I have loaded UBB6 at www.capitalcityfirebirds.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi The problem is that none of the icons or gif files seem to be loaded properly. I added them to the ubb dircectory, and it appears they are in the right location, but not showing on my UBB. I am using a free download of ws_ftp pro to FTP and used the binary mode for all the graphic files like instructed. To test the board functionality I changed my configuration screen to point to ubbforums.infopop.com/ubb and all the graphics and icons worked, so I think it is just an FTP problem. Are there known problems with ws_ftp or ???

Where did you make this ubb directory? It should a sub-directory of your main www directory (i.e. /big/dom/xdomain/www/ubb).
It doesn't seem to exist (http://www.capitalcityfirebirds.com/ubb/ gives a 404 Not Found error, should give an empty page).
