View Full Version : Links to my IRO

My main account is pb5th.com. I have an IRM, alt-sfa.com.

Several educational web sites have old (pre-IRM) links to my IRM like this:
www.pb5th.com/alt_sfa

This brings up the index.shtml for my pb5th.com site, slighly disabled.

Some aren't fixing the link - how can I fix this on my end? Thanks!

<edited to change IRO to IRM, stuff that really confuses me!>

I can no longer FTP directly to the IRM alt-sfa.com - I get a password error message.

Hi Fred,

What I would suggest, in response to your first question, is to try calling your includes in the following manner:

<!--#include file="whatever.txt"-->

When calling includes in subfolders I have found this to work for me.

Also, you may wish to consider making your links, at least in your index file, absolute links versus relevant links, as it is now if you access via, http://www.pb5th.com/alt_sfa, all of this links lead you to http://www.pb5th.com/ instead of http://www.alt-sfa.com/

Regarding your FTP problem, you have to FTP into all parts of your pb5th.com through the main address, and while you can set your initial remote folder as your IRM folder, this would not affect the password you would use. And from this end all appears fine in this respect.

I hope some of this helps,

Have a Good One,
Bob
