What I want to do is collect credit card info from folks and process offline. (it is a one time fundraiser for a film project I am working (on a site not hosted here, unfortunately). My fiscal sponsor can accept credit card donations, but doesn't have a secure order form for online stuff.
Is there any simple way to accept credit cards in a fairly safe manner... Hey, PayPal...! (just thought of it) but is there any other way that folks can just submit a cc # safely and simply?
Thanks a bunch!
I would suggest using the PGP Form Mail script for this. See this thread for more info:

Rich,
In your instructions on setup you write:
Your must have either a shared or private SSL certificate installed and operational on your virtual server. For additional information about SSL or to purchase your own certificate, visit the FutureQuest Secure Certificate Ordering page.
To have FutureQuest install and setup your certificate, complete the FutureQuest Order Form.
I don't have a secure certificate, or a shared secure certificate. This is for a site not here on FQ but for my personal site and I am doing fundraising for a film. (in other words, I don't want to pay the fee for getting a secure certificate.
Is this correct?
Although the instructions are specifically for the FQ server configurations, the concepts are the same.
However, if you do not have an SSL cert (either your own or a shared one on the server) then you CANNOT securely collect credit card information within that Web site.
