in a recent transition to FutureQuest, i found out my client is using TFS Administrator to collect their email on the lan.

we can send email, but though we're plugging in all the FQ information, smtp's, pops, ip's ... we can't seem to get it to receive mail. i realize this is the pop area, but if someone has actually worked with this program, any help would be reeeeeeeeallly appreciated. every software program seems to utilize different wording.

thanks,

Since we use industry standard protocols for POP/SMTP, you may want to contact the software authors of TFS as they would be best to solve any issues with the software they wrote...

thanks terra,

after posting the query, i went immediately to scouring the internet for the software company - which turns out to be "tenfour.com" based in sweden, with one local tech number in virginia. the software is also called "Secure Messaging" with TFS Administrator being only a component.

their website offers manuals and tech info (no FAQ's) ONLY with a password/user id that you have to pay for - yada yada yada ... i ended up talking my client through it and somehow got the email to work through this extra secure server software. :P

so all in all, i was hoping to pick the brains of FQ'ers who may actually use this software.

hopefully this query will offer direction for someone dealing this convoluted software in the future.

cheers,
