ok so MAss Rabbit Rescue got its own domain in liek october or something - we moved - well *I* moved the whole dang site to http://www.RabbitRescue.org from www.tifosi.com/pet-rescue - I also submitted the new url to the search engines etc etc - and rediretced the old one with some nifty java script -
so... you;'d tink inall of that I would have remmeber to update the links on my own site!
did I?
NO!
/me hears a big loud "DOH!"
And worse yet - theony reason I remebered at all is cuz my personal site just got moved to a brand spanking new faster server and I was told to check out stuff making sure all is in working order - if that hadnt happened I'd still be cluelesss
yeeesh - what kinda doofus website administrator forgets to update the links on her own personal site!
DOH!

I forget when it was a few months ago I was editing the RR.org domaina dn like well somehow on smy local machine forgot to rename the files in saveas and overwrote the index.html - adn proptly uploaded it to the server -
aaaaaargh
\
adn since I wasnt at home with a backup copy fo the old index I kinda was stuck - not only ddi I lose tyhe ndex page, but I also last a big rondof chnags I made3 to some otehr fiels - cuz I'd never bothered to saveas aaaaaaaaargh!
so until I got hiome I editwed the index.html to read that I'd overwitrten the index file and woudnt be able to replace it for e=sbvereal hours until I got home I forget exactly what I wrote but I really ripped myself hehehe - minutes later I get an email in my box from hte org pres/co-editor/etc etc - ROFLHAO at me for that one.
er ok whers the nearest rock?
Lea
ps then there are the coubntless times I upload to the wrong directory adn go to check for my changes in the browser adn liek cant figure out why they arent there - take me 3 or 4 tires usually beofer Ifigure out the glitch hehe

Heehee...pqwabbit welcome the "Things that make you go "Doh!"" club!!
I've been working on the net for over three years now and I've had many, many of those moments...A highlight would be when I was setting up an affiliate program and uploading the cfg and data file in binary not ASCII. Somehow wiping out the programmers work...the programmer was in Italy...he seemed a little P.O.'d to say the least AND then he found out I was a woman and figured I shouldn't be working on the internet. The client, here in the US, was good hearted about it, luckily.

For me this week the famous typo has been in the word hello on support and sales emails I keep forgetting the o
I'm slowly calming down from this whole "I've married the man of my dreams" idea and getting it right.. but oh man it does NOT look good when someone sends a message that says "Help I don't know how...."
and I say.... "hell(-o), just do it this way"
*sigh*
Can I be in your club too?
