PayPal.com and X.com

[nbsp] Has anyone had any experience with there guys?[nbsp][nbsp]Ihave had an X.com account since they opened, but haven't ever used it.[nbsp][nbsp]Now they merged with paypal.com which looks promising to those of us that want to accept payments online, without the high cost of doing so.[nbsp][nbsp]If anyone can give me any information about these websites I woudl be thankful.

[nbsp][nbsp]Or if you know of a way to accept payments online without it costing an arm and leg, that would be useful too.

We've found quite a few site owners are using PayPal right now.[nbsp][nbsp]So much so that FutureQuest recently setup an account as well to enable those who use PayPal to make their payments through that system.

It's MUCH cheaper then the traditional means, simple, fast, and all around painless.[nbsp][nbsp]I've been quite impressed.[nbsp][nbsp]I wish it could be turned into a "total solution" but after speaking with them on the phone I don't foresee that anytime soon.[nbsp][nbsp]As an added benefit though it's been great.[nbsp][nbsp]We began receiving PayPal payments the first day we added the link to our payment page.

Things to be aware of prior to deciding to depend on it alone:

* Only Visa and Mastercard credit cards accepted (Amex etc are not in their short term plans)

* Only US Residents need apply.[nbsp][nbsp]It wont work for our International friends...

* To make a PayPal payment you must have a PayPal account (inconvenient for those who have no other use for it)

Other than the above concerns, the rest has worked out great for us![nbsp][nbsp]If nothing else, you receive $5 just for signing up :P

I have to agree with Deb.. other than the limitations mentioned, it is a great service. I think we'll see expanded services from them somewhere down the line. (Hopefully, they'll get a move on) :) I'd say, give it a try!
