I looked at a previous thread about this, but wanted to know if there was anything new.

Client is computer illiterate. (why me :) ) Doesn't answer my emails so I wouldn't expect him to log in and check orders or check email, and I am not going to do it. Anyway I'd like to have a submitted form faxed to his fax machine.

1. Does anybody have reccomendations or experience with this?
2. Can this be done securely?

Hi Wayne-

The easiest (though probably not the most secure, it's at least moderatly secure) way to do this would probably be to get a JFAX.com account and just have his shopping cart send the e-mail to 123456789@jfaxsend.com, which will fax him the order (assuming his fax number is 123456789, of course. If it isn't, you'll have to substitute his fax number in there).

It may take a little bit of programming genious to do it, since JFAX needs the from address to be that of the client, so you'd have to make sure that you can set it up correctly. Plus it's kinda expensive (around 10 cents per page that JFAX charges for outgoing faxes).

But, it is a solution without FQ needing to install a fax server and extra phone line, which could be much more expensive than the JFAX charges.

Good luck,

Jason
