Seems like a compliment to ebay that also can be used (1 unique item at a time) on a web site.

I have not had any actual dealings with billpoint. However, when I purchased from one of the leading (and high ranking) dealers on eBay, I was told that he did not allow the use of billpoint due to it causing him more "problems than it was worth."

I would assume that this is due to the fact that the merchant is not paid until the customer has received the merchandise and confirmed receipt. I'll bet that confirmation step is something a lot of customers just "forget" to do, or don't know how to do, or get lost on the way to the link to do so, etc.

I should note that this particular dealer (as with most of the best dealers on eBay) had my check within 5 business days and I had my merchandise within 5 business days after that. So the payment/delivery process these dealers use is very efficient. Given the slim margins that they survive on, I understand how adding just a day or two to this time can severly undermine their cash flow.
