San Francisco High Speed Internet

Hi everybody,

I will soon be moving to San Francisco. It is not only a move from one city to another for me, but also a move from the UK to the US (yeah!).

I wanted to know, if anyone has information/links/anything about high speed internet access in that area for both private and business use.

If you have any other info about SF, I would be happy to hear about that too.

So, andre, have you ever been to San Francisco? It's my favorite city in California. I live in Southern California, but try to get up to San Fran every couple of years or so. I have a sister (with hubby and kids) who lives just south of S.F. in Palo Alto, and my sister-in-law and her hubby live in the city.

no, I have never been there and I don't really know anything about it, except maybe that they have streets that go far down the hill :-)

I am reading through all I can get my fingers on at the moment though and I must admit I like it more from page to page I read.

San Fransisco is served by Pacific Bell, and they are currently offering DSL in most areas.[nbsp][nbsp]Depending on where you do move, you should be able to get it.

Unlike Sheila, I hate SF, but my sister lives there, so...

Word of warning about Pacbell - they block all email from places like geocities, juno, xoom, etc.[nbsp][nbsp]My communications to my sister always bounced back, but she wouldn't change ISPs...[nbsp][nbsp]so I had to sign up with FQ :)

At last, the real truth comes out! :P

Actually, having DSL or cable is good in any case - I wish I had more info about SF connections.[nbsp][nbsp]But I would slightly lean towards AT&amp;T...
