I have a FutureQuest gold account on www.instantcomputerconsultant.com (http://www.instantcomputerconsultant.com) so I could use MySQL. There is one database set up for this and it works fine.

However, I have another account with FutureQuest at www.gettingtraffic.com (http://www.gettingtraffic.com) which is just the basic hosting package. I want to run vBulletin from this website. vBulletin is forum software that uses MySQL to store the data.

My questions are:

1. Can I use the MySQL on my www.instantcomputerconsultant.com (http://www.instantcomputerconsultant.com) site as the data store for the www.gettingtraffic.com (http://www.gettingtraffic.com) forum software? Can you not crossover from sites? Or would I have to get a gold account for the gettingtraffic.com sites aswell?

2. If I can, would there be a performance issue because it is not on the same url?

Thanks,

Jon Lawrance

Please review the following thread as it should answer most questions:
http://www.aota.net/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000217-1.html

In short:
1) Both accounts would need to be Gold package or better, with a cross-connect in place for:
gettingtraffic.com --> MYSQL.instantcomputerconsultant.com

2) All requests go to the backside MySQL engines, so there should not be any difference in overall performance...
