load loacal data infile

I can't use load infile from server because i'm using a virtual host so i'm trying to use a local file but i can't seem to get the path to the local file.
can anyone help me out before i go mad.[nbsp]

Most likely the Database Administrator has this turned off for security reasons...

You will need to investigate the virtues of using 'mysqldump' and either 'mysqlimport' or just plain 'mysql' importing...

There are other threads in this forum that has more explicit instructions on how to do so...
