Was it just me, but did the cover of time (Amazon.com's
Jeff Bezos with his head in a box) bring back some
scary recollections of that 1995 movie "Seven"?
After all, Bezos looks a lot like the bad guy in that
movie (Kevin Spacey). :)
I think it was a GREAT choice for MOTY. ;)[nbsp][nbsp]He DID start/bring the e-commerce revolution in to full swing, showing it really could work. If course, that is extremely debate-able to some of you but I don't want to start heated warlike discussion. ;)
It was also hilarious to see some of the reader replies in Time's issue after that. Comments like "HORIBBLE CHOICE! THAT MAN IS JUST A GOOD ADVERTISER AND MARKETER! NOTHING MORE!" from people who just didn't get it.

PS: Yes, the cover sure was one of those things you turn your head to look at while you stand in line at a store. :D

Tatu,
Yes, I agree with their choice - the head in box just seemed kind of bizarre.[nbsp][nbsp]Guess it fits with Bezo's sense of humor.
Hopefully they will go BMVP in 2000 (that's their new internal slogan, meaning "Books, Music, Video - Profitable").
Cheers,
Turnkey
Oh yeah! I was filpping channels when I heard his trademark scoffle laugh (it's hilarious) and he turned out to be on Oprah Winfree's show talking about BMVP!
