Okay, where to start.

I was hoping to set up Fishcartsql as a catalog, and after finally figuring out the instructions ::þ was starting to get some where...

Then this came along

-snippet from install instructions-

cd /usr/local/var
mysqladmin create fishcartsql

- end snippet -

I changed into /usr/local/var alright
but am not willing to go further because it isn't under /big/dom/xdomain and really don't want to do something I shouldn't.

Well, one because I don't actuall now what the commend will do, and two if that particual command is authorised (ie am I allowed?)!

Anyway, I hope this makes sense.

Michelle

P.S More info:

This program is making the assumption that you have your own dedicated MySQL server setup...

I show dragonseek.com as a Gold package and therefore eligible for MySQL database setup, but it has not been requested yet...

Just send an email to 'support@' and make the request, from there you will have an account setup with 6 databases that you can work within...

Information needed:
domainname -
password -
*Password must be different from your shell account

It also appears that you will need to make adjustments to 'Fishcartsql' for fitting within the shared MySQL scheme of things...

This should advance you to the next level... :)

I am also trying to setup fishcartsql. I have one database setup, my defualt xtabnihon. Can i setup furthur databases, and users myself (I have a Gold Account) do I make a request to have this done? I am guessing that this takes a request since things are shared.
BTW fishcart suggests having it's own database with two users -[nbsp][nbsp]public and admin.
