Hi!

I was wondering what you all thought about this...

I have 1 account, and just got another domain on the same account (IRM).[nbsp][nbsp]When the IRM domain is typed in the location bar, it changes to show a page on the domain of my account (My ParenTime). Comprensible?

Question:[nbsp][nbsp]Does this bother you at all...does it not look professional?[nbsp][nbsp]

If I were to make it look as though I had two totally separate domains (my goal), I would have to change A LOT of links on MANY pages...so I'm just not in a hurry to work on this now (one day!).[nbsp][nbsp]I'm just curious as to what you think - I guess the only drawback would be that I can't really say they're two totally separate sites...yet ;) .

Thanx for all opinions!

Thanx Jarod ;) .

Here's the site I was referring to: http://www.stopsexoffenders.com

I have it linked to the directory it will eventually be in (where it will stay stopsexoffenders.com throughout the whole site), and then have it redirected temporarily from there (to where it currently is at My ParenTime).

Does this confuse you when it redirects you?[nbsp][nbsp]I would really hate to have a main page describing the move...with all that I have going on, who knows when I'll be able to complete the move ;) .

For me it was only temporarily confusing, and there is enough identity on the page to work out what is going on.[nbsp][nbsp]

I would imagine that for most visitors/parents who find your site the message/info. is a lot more important than what the URL is doing at the top of the browser.[nbsp][nbsp]

Another thing to consider is that lots of users turn the address bar off to make more room (or don't even know it is there).

I would suggest visitors could be slightly confused, and I know I get frustrated by web-sites that use meta-refresh to take me to another page.[nbsp][nbsp]It breaks the back button on your browser. :(

As an alternative instead of a refresh could you just bring up the stopoffenders.htm page as the default.[nbsp][nbsp]That way when you first come into the site you know you are on stopsexoffenders.com, then slowly change the links if you want.[nbsp][nbsp]Alternatively to changing the link just put a sentence to explain the relationship between the two sites.

Well that's my half penny of input.
