I've spent WAY to much time on this sunny afternoon trying to figure this out!
<!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/poll.pl" -->
is what I'm trying to emulate using PHP. It's supposed to call a little survey script that runs inside of a table cell.

Well Benson... you've just made a fool of many of us :P
I was trying to install the exact same script as you have installed, but couldn't find the way to get it included... I tried a numerous amount of ideas, none worked... I finally blamed it on the safe mode and last night decided to give up. (I wont incriminate the other 6 ppl I had talked to about this and who also failed to find the answer hehe)
You've just solved MANY problems/questions I had...

Let's see. I tried exec(), system(), and a buttload of others, all to no avail. Exec() said "See system(), ..." and all of them referenced eachother. Virtual was the only one not referenced by any of the others. I've never stumbled accross Virtual before.
I was almost going to have to rewrite my banner rotation script in php - then you pop up with Virtual() http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif THANK YOU!!!!
I was among the six people who was stumped for the last few weeks on this one - and here you are, 8 hours after asking the question, with an answer http://www.aota.net/ubb/redface.gif
I'm glad someone figured it out for me. Only problem is it doesn't work with my version of php (3.0.6 I think) but the important thing is it works on the server http://www.aota.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Thanks for figuring this one out - I know a few people will be very happy with Virtual() http://www.aota.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
