I got a file in my cookie folder I can't get rid of

One of the warez sites sent me cookie that returns their page to my homepage everytime I turn the computer back on. This file will not delete, it says acess denied. I can't change the name or move it to another folder. How do I get rid of this file. Believe me I tried all my tricks even downloaded a couple program that were suppose to do the job.Help me on this.

Reformat the hard drive to remove anything else lurking that you don't know about (as well as the 'cookie'). Some basic security/ precautions in the future would be a good idea.

Boot the system into DOS. Head on over to the cookie directory and zap that sucker.
