About time. I dropped the dialup 28.8 connection for the dialup 128k connection. Cost me 2cents a minute, but boy the speed.

But now I am faced with another problem. The little WebRamp I used to provide the Gateway, NAT and port mapping for my 28.8 connection, is not doing so well getting 128k pumped tough it. It was only designed for a 56k modem max.

A few years back, I spotted a firewall/NAT software sitting on the shelf of a computer store. It was a full install of Linux turned into a router[nbsp][nbsp]software. You provide the 486 and it did everything else. Firewall, NAT, Email, Web Admin, Port mapping, User Admin. I recall going to the website and playing with the online demo of the Admin functions.

But now, for the life of me, I can't find it. I can't recall the name. Does anyone know of this software?

Thanks

Could it have been the Linux Router Project (http://www.linuxrouter.org/)? Or perhaps LOAF (http://loaf.ecks.org/) (Linux On A Floppy)? Or maybe DLX (http://www.wu-wien.ac.at/usr/h93/h9301726/dlx.html), LRP (http://lrp.steinkuehler.net/), Floppix (http://floppix.ccai.com/), or Pocket Linux (http://pocket-linux.coven.vmh.net/)?

These possible solutions and more brought to you by Google (http://www.google.com)... :)

Another nice router is Freesco (http://www.freesco.org/).

I had checked out all the above options. None like the software I was looking for. I was looking for a quick setup.

I settled on Freesco and got a friend over to help install it. 10 hours later, it's working. But the firewall needs a lot of tweaking. :)
