My computer is not acting properly.[nbsp][nbsp]I ran scandisk and shut down a few times, but things still aren't working right.[nbsp][nbsp]I'm afraid I may have to reformat the harddrives :(.[nbsp][nbsp]I backed up all of my important files onto zip disks, but wish I knew if it was an easily resolved problem so we don't have to reformat the drives. For ie..instead of double clicking on the desktop icons, you click on them once and they may or may not open.[nbsp][nbsp]Do you know of anything we could check to see if we don't have to reformat?

Go get Norton anti-virus and then download the latest virus definitions/information. Scan. ;)[nbsp][nbsp]

It's getting increasingly annoying: "Sorry, but the password you entered was not correct. Please try again. Use your Back button."

Hey Joi, Ted Loh absolutely swears by www.sophos.com (http://www.sophos.com) antivirus and firewall software. Now I've heard a couple great comments about Sophos from different people, so I'm most likely making the switch the next time around.
Just run away from McAfee.

What's wrong with McAfee -- I just picked up their utilities and virus scan software today ;)[nbsp][nbsp] .
BTW, my computer seems to be back to normal --[nbsp][nbsp]maybe it had the hiccups :).
UPDATE:[nbsp][nbsp]Having problems installing the programs -- esp. the utilities.[nbsp][nbsp]We also cannot figure out how to enable the email virus scan :(.
