What the heck's IPC Server?

Out of the blue Zone Alarm popped and asked if it could let "IPC Server" access the internet. I said no. Later that day it asked again. I've never seen this before. What the heck's it talking about?

Have you tried looking at your running tasks? Seeing what is being loaded at startu? Searching your hard drive for files containing IPC in the name?

IPC stands for InterProcess Communication and is a part of Windows and is used for things such as named pipes, sockets and shared memory. But that's all I know about it.
