It's been too long since I defragged, so last night I booted up in safe mode and ran maintenence.[nbsp][nbsp]Unfortunately, scandisk reported errors in the boot area of my hard drive, and I was too scared to let it fix them.[nbsp][nbsp]I had a really bad experience with Norton playing with my boot area, where it told my computer I no longer had my second hard drive.[nbsp][nbsp]This was definitely my fault, as I forgot to make a new record after I installed the second hard drive... and both of these hard drives have been in the computer since day one.[nbsp][nbsp]Should I be worried about letting scandisk fix the boot section?[nbsp][nbsp]Is there anything I can do to protect myself from doing real harm to my computer.[nbsp][nbsp]I can't defrag until I fix the errors, but it's not worth it to me to break things![nbsp][nbsp]This reminds me... maybe time for another backup ;)[nbsp][nbsp] Thanks in advance...
