Hello![nbsp][nbsp]I am one of those stubborn or persistent people who can't stand it when I find some function on a PC sitting around idle.[nbsp][nbsp]After all, there is a sound card, speakers, a microphone, and a voice modem -- which, hey, could support one of a couple of free speakerphone software packages![nbsp][nbsp]What am I waiting for?[nbsp][nbsp] [two days later...]
If anyone could help: I have checked all the boxes and all the volume controls and all the internal cables from sound card to modem but I _can't_ get volume out of the modem -- that is, I can't get the microphone in, though I can hear a very low level of sound OUT.[nbsp][nbsp]So the TAPI is working I think.[nbsp][nbsp]I have tried the mic directly on the modem IN jack too but still, the sound is as if from the bottom of the sea.[nbsp][nbsp]I feel like I am almost there but am still stuck just short of goal.[nbsp][nbsp]Other items:[nbsp][nbsp]the DUN protocols NDISWAN [and TCP-IP] are in place with bindings.[nbsp][nbsp]The Multimedia Control Panel tab says the Voice Modem serial wave device is installed & active.[nbsp][nbsp]Sheeesh...
Thanks [in hope!]
