iomega zip -click of death?

Anybody have trouble with an iomega zip drive? I have one and it tries to eat the disk. I remember reading a long time ago about the click of death on the internet. Is that what's happened here?

I've been a victim of the Click of Death...[nbsp][nbsp]:(

The primary symptom is, well, a click as the heads try unsuccessfully to read the disk.[nbsp][nbsp]The disk is usually trashed.[nbsp][nbsp]At the time that mine died, there was no solution other than screaming at Iomega until they told you to send it back for an exchange.[nbsp][nbsp]Things may have changed since then.[nbsp][nbsp]Try usenet, alt.iomega.zip.jaz (or something like that, I don't recall)
