I recently received a "new" computer from a great friend.[nbsp][nbsp]Problem is it has something weird going on...when I brought it home it had IE 3.xx loaded on it.[nbsp][nbsp]I set it up jumped on the web went to www.microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com) and received a fault then was booted off the web.[nbsp][nbsp]Everytime I went to that site the same thing happened![nbsp][nbsp]I ran thorough scandisk tried again and got to download IE 4.xx and then the same fault and[nbsp][nbsp]booted again.[nbsp][nbsp]I then downloaded Netscape Navigator and it runs fine, however still can't download IE 4.xx[nbsp][nbsp]Borrowed a cd to install IE 4.xx and all I get are bizarre faults![nbsp][nbsp]All my other programs loaded and are working fine but I tried to install a Printmaster program that works in conjunction with IE 4 and guess what![nbsp][nbsp]IT WON'T RUN!
I really don't want to drop a lot of $$ into this anyone have any suggestions anywhere?[nbsp][nbsp]Thank you so much for any help :)
