Well, from the subject you probably think I am talking about FQ - which would be true.[nbsp][nbsp]This time it is Toshiba.[nbsp][nbsp]I broke the little port where you plug in the phone line on my Portege 7000.[nbsp][nbsp]I called Toshiba last Wednesday at 9pm and explained the problem.[nbsp][nbsp]They said I should return the unit for warranty repair.[nbsp][nbsp]They would send me packaging material immediately.[nbsp][nbsp]THURSDAY MORNING I received the packaging via Fedex.[nbsp][nbsp]I packed my unit up and shipped it back.[nbsp][nbsp]They received it on Friday.[nbsp][nbsp]On Monday (yesterday) they completed the repair and shipped it back.[nbsp][nbsp]Today (Tuesday) at 9am my machine was returned.[nbsp][nbsp]Great service that you should know about if you are planning a laptop purchase!

Awesome! Great to hear they took care of it and great to see a customer of theirs brag about it![nbsp][nbsp]It is, sadly, getting harder and harder to find something as "simple" as great service... I'll mark Toshiba up for it :)
Speaking of service... there is a nice newsletter that I receive daily... and it's one of the very few that I actually read every day (I even had one of my own submitted to it once..was kinda kewl) you can subscribe at http://www.customeredge.com/
It's called CustomerEdge.[nbsp][nbsp]Each day they publish a story from real customer's of any number of different types of services. The customer's talk about how they were pleased or disappointed in the service they received and why.[nbsp][nbsp]At the beginning of each newsletter is a nice quote and at the end of each story is a "Tips" section where they give you a paragraph or two to help you learn how to better service your own customers. It's a great service in itself.
Sounds like Keith has a story he could submit to them too :)
You may want to check it out... and as a side note, I have no reason to believe they sold any of my info to spammers, and they do have an easy to use subscribe AND unsubscribe button, with no advertisements to get in the way.[nbsp][nbsp]Just the way I like it :)

With my newly repaired laptop I have hit the road again.[nbsp][nbsp]First stop, Ft. Lauderdale, the weather is great, the sky is clear, lots of **** at the pool, and I am NOT leaving my room.[nbsp][nbsp]They have cable modem access, I just plugged in to my ethernet card and away I went.[nbsp][nbsp]Downloaded 10 megs of Netscape in less than 5 minutes.[nbsp][nbsp]I may never go home!!!
