This is in response to a question about PPC http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
PPC (PowerPC) is the name of the chip inside every Power Macintosh computer, a lot of IBM big iron server computers (RS/6000, etc.), some desktop Linux machines and a lot of handheld portable devices like cell phones, some PDAs, etc.
Yes, PPC is VERY scalable, from the low-power low-end portable to the high-power, high-end multiprocessor supercomputer style server.
At any rate, PPC or PowerPC is a brand name for a processor, just like Pentium II is for the processor in many PCs.
BTW, Macs are PC-compatible, if you buy a program called Virtual PC http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
