I know.. I've gone totally techy, but I really want one of the new Power Mac G3s... and I'll install Linux on a partition so I can run both Mac OS and Linux http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
Finally a real green imac. Now I might just have to get one... Cute little buggers arent they?
The new G3 would be nice too, but not as cute http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

My sister got a 400mhz G3 in her office last week..I hooked up two printers and two G3's into an ethernet hub and got everything talking to each other..
To a PC user, this is kinda cool stuff. And they do look kooky!

Apple's always been at the forefront of industrial design. Think about how completely radical the original Macintosh was way back in the day.
Yes, I was a proud owner of one of the first Macs … only had to stand in line 2 hours at the Berkeley coop to get it.
sigh Now that brings back some memories!
Apple's had their ups-and-downs, but boy they take a licking and keep on ticking. Apple's current position (and analysts are agreeing) is that as computers pervade society, they will become more of a "commodity item," and people make choices for commodity items based on two things: the vendor's reputation and esthetics.
The competition had better watch out. Apple's led sales of personal computer for 3 months in a row last year (losing out the Christmas season to Compaq), but overall, their marketshare for the last quarter of '98 beat 'em all.
