Hi everyone!
I'm currently using Hyperterminal - personal edition upgrade or something like that. My OS is Windows 98.
Hyperterminal is very cumbersome, ugly, and you can't scroll up the screen to read text gone by (unlike a previous version I use to have - but they've changed it). Can you tell I just don't like it?
I'm looking for something that's simple to use, easy on the eyes, cheap (shareware or even better - freeware), and ssh support/features would really be the icing on the cake.
Recommendations anyone?
Thanks!
Roxie

Secure CRT

This would be our number one recommendation!

I use the one that comes with Windows 95. Works just fine for me.

Also check out http://www.arachnoid.com/ and find their EasyTerm telnet program. I'm currently using it because it's free. Until January anyway, when I can afford to pay for CRT (cause CRT is a much better program *s*).

I didn't know arachnoid had a telnet program.... hmmm and I bet you've already told this to me too :P But it just now 'hit' me... I love the concept behind their software... think I'll go find that telnet proggy and check it out http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

The only thing I don't like about arachnoid's telnet program is the colors... Default is white text, black background, with a yellow prompt (bleah). There's a 'reverse colors' option, which changes to black text on white, but keeps the yellow prompt (double bleah, I don't do so well with colors, and yellow on white is darn near invisible to me...). Otherwise it seems to be a pretty good thing. I don't do much with telnet besides debugging perl and reading manpages, so I don't know how well it might work for 'real' telnet users http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Watch my email? What's it gonna do? (I've been waiting for years to have it sing to me, or maybe polka)
