Hi, I registered my 2nd domain at http://FutureQuest.Register.com/ on Saturday.

A paragraph on FQ's page confused[nbsp][nbsp]me a bit: (Registering a domain name is easier then you may think! Simply visit FutureQuest.register.com and follow the step by step instructions. The information concerning name servers, zone contacts, and technical contacts is already done for you. You will only need to know who you are and what domain name you would like to have!)

On Sunday I realized it hadn't been "done for me" - I'm not sure if I missed something at register.com but I finally figured from more reading at FQ that I had to transfer the domain to FQ, which I did around 2PM yesterday. Just wondering how long it'll take until it's up on FQ. I just read another posting it takes up to 24 hours - well it's been longer for me so I'm concerned I messed something up somewhere along the line.

How do I know when it's transferred? I'm wondering if register.com's page will change to a FQ page. Is this correct?
(domain name: minnesotafolkfestival.org)

Thanks!
Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Well for me at least all appears normal.

I just visited your domain, minnesotafolkfestival.org, and was presented with a picture of "the boys of the lough"

Checking with three different whois all show your DNS information being correct and pointing to FutureQuest Servers.

If you are unable to see the web site correctly make sure you force clear your browsers cache and it also may take another 12 hours or so for your ISP to finish propagation.

But, at least for me it's up and running properly :)

Hope this helps.

Bob,
It only works now because I posted that[nbsp][nbsp]message. Isn't that how it always works? Yes, it would come up minutes after I posted!

Thanks for checking.

It's a planet-wide conspiracy first advanced by major appliances and automobiles long before there were computers and servers.[nbsp][nbsp]It was only a matter of time before they too joined.
