Today I completed registration for a domain name.
Then I comppleted everything you need to do with futurequest.
I also did the thing where you enter the primary and secondary DNS names and ip to register.com informing them of me and futurequest etc...

How long do I have to wait until I can use:

http://mydomainname.com/cnc

I looked at the temporary thing and its very confusing. Where od I actually build the website entering the HTML and stuff?

Excuse my poor grammar usage and lack of technical terms.
When replying please be aware I won't understand what you're saying unless you put it in very simple newbie internet terms.

Thanks in advance,

Whew.. that's a lot of huge questions actually :P[nbsp][nbsp]The best option right now is to take each step one at a time and as each is completed go onto the next as the ability to answer each of your questions completely has taken many books over much time ;)

For starters, it sounds as if you successfully registered the domain name to the FutureQuest Name Servers :D[nbsp][nbsp]It usually takes up to 24 hours for the domain name to begin working properly.[nbsp][nbsp]Patience is all that is needed for this part.

The temporary address will work the same as the domain name address will work with the only difference being that one uses numbers and the other uses letters.[nbsp][nbsp]Try to imagine the numbers as your domain name for now... by this time tomorrow the domain name itself should be working for you.

As a starting point you may want to simply browse around in your CNC for a while (following the temporary link provided in your activation letter).[nbsp][nbsp]Getting to know all of the features of your CNC will give you a head-start for many tasks in the future.

To begin editing your web site you'll want to concentrate on the /www/ directory within the File Manager of your CNC.[nbsp][nbsp]To tinker a bit try opening the index.fquest file and making a few small text edits to get a feel for how everything works.

A Getting Started Tutorial can be found by pointing your browser to http://www.aota.net/HTML/index.php3

The NCSA (at UIUC) Beginner's Guide to HTML is a more extensive and thorough guide and highly recommended. http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Internet/WWW/index.html

By practicing and using the tutorials as your guide you will learn a great deal quickly. If you run into problems or have specific questions you will also find an enormous amount of human help and support within these Forums so feel free to ask questions along the way.
