An associate of mine wants to register a domain and for the time being keep it parked.[nbsp][nbsp]For those of you who have experienced both registrars, which one has the better interface (control panel), customer service,[nbsp][nbsp]and features, especially for parking.

Thanks,
Phil

Register it wherever you wish, but park it here at FQ ($25, applied to any hosting package you purchase in the future).[nbsp][nbsp]You'll find FQ's support to be excellent, and their CNC management of your website is full of features.

FWIW, I use Joker to register my domains (<$11/yr a week or two ago), and have about 6 of 'em parked here as we determine where to go with 'em.

I use NetSol, Register, Dotster, Joker.

Register.com used to have GREAT on the spot support, e-mail & telephone; lately many have experienced negative service and support, not sure, but this could be due to their rapid growth.[nbsp][nbsp]Their interface of domain management is easy to use and they offer many tld's other registrars do not. Register.com's prices are still mirroring Netsol's...on the high side.

Dotster seem's to be on the move up & a good value.[nbsp][nbsp]I'm in the process of transfering a few domains to them as I type.[nbsp][nbsp]Good support, easy interface, domain transfer and good pricing.

I transferred all 6 domains from netsol and register to dotster -- I've had no problems, and their customer service has been excellent -- I've always had a live person answer the phone!

Thanks for the comments so far.[nbsp][nbsp]I have also transferred my domains away from NetSol and so far have used Register and OpenSRS (Tucows) but not Dotster.[nbsp][nbsp]I'll pass on the comments about Dotster.

Frank: I have been around the hallowed halls of FQ for quite awhile and I am aware of their superior quality - unfortunately I have no role in his decision, other than making recommendations.

Thanks,
Phil

I'm back to the one... the only... Joker.

Tried others, Joker is just the cheapest but doesn't skimp on what you get (except on the looks department of their web site).

I am so fed up with register.com now - their customer service blows.[nbsp][nbsp]They messed up my dns and tech support info and it never was properly changed - and this created a major problem which I am sort of have fixed in the contact area but some serious mess in the DNS area.
It wasn't my choice for a registrar, but I didn't register the domain, and if it wasn't so clear that register.com is being a PITA then I'd kick the people who registered the name originally for not putting in all the proper information (cuz if they had done that in the first place - this all would have been avoided - but that doesn't excuse the lousiness of register.com's customer service.) I ain't been to these forums for a while, but I came back tonight to see if anyone had any recommendations on what registrar I should transfer to.[nbsp][nbsp]I'm almost tempted to just tell my provider to take the registration - but their forms are in Dutch and their website is in Dutch and I don't speak a word of it! :Þ[nbsp][nbsp]Also then there is the matter of transfering funds overseas...nope better keep it in the US I think
*sigh*
I though i wrote a scathing email back to support#register.com in reply to theri repeated form emails about the vulome of Customer ing=quires due to recent promotions...but alas, it bounced - I did not use the correct way of emailing them - which means using theri web interface abnd such blejh
