.edu domain names?

Anyone know who handles applications for .edu domain names?[nbsp][nbsp]I know there's a special application process, but I can't seem to find any info on it.

1. www.NetworkSolutions.com (http://www.NetworkSolutions.com)

2. Type the full domain.tld into the search box (whole thing)

3. Click go and the rules etc will be there...

They don't advertise it but it's there if you force feed it :)
