A couple of months ago a potential client asked me to register a domain name, which I did. I've done nothing with the name since. When he's ready for his site I'll log on to the FQ order page and order the domain.
Many times I've seen references to "parking" a domain. What does this mean? Is it necessary?
(I should know this by now.)

The Parked Domains are setup with a standard Template "Biz Card" web page. For Resellers the "Hosted By" link points to the Reseller's Web Site but the pages themselves can not be customized once they are setup. The information that appears on the page is derived from the information provided within the order.
Once the client wants to upgrade to a full package, you will then receive the $25.00 back as credit toward a full package!
Below are two examples of parked domains:
To order a parked domain you may do so on the order forms @ http://www.futurequest.net/Order/
I hope this helps.

Binky:[nbsp][nbsp]Parking a domain lets you register a domain name without setting it up as a developed website; think of it as a placeholder or, like Brian said, it's a 'lektronik biz card.
See http://theatersigns.net/ for an example of one we registered and parked but just haven't gotten around to pointing anywhere yet.

Also note that you receive a full POP3 email account with your Parked domain on FutureQuest -- mail sent to Anything@ParkedDomain.com can be received.
