Does anyone here have any idea how long it takes before Netsol releases an expired domain name back into the registration pool?[nbsp][nbsp]One of my targets expired last night and I think they will not be renewing - and I have to get my hands on it before someone else does...
I have already sent mail to Netsol but no response yet.

Hello Ted,
This recent thread is about all that we seem to know about the sorry state of affairs when it comes to NetSol :P and releasing Domain names:

Every day I checked a domain which expired on July 5th, 2000.[nbsp][nbsp]First I thought it might be released after 30 days.[nbsp][nbsp]Then maybe, I said, they'll wait two months, or three...
Then finally, on October 31st, the original registrant renewed the domain for another year (though I don't know if it ever had a site)!
While this annoyed me, on the other hand, maybe it is good if you have domains registered with NSI yourself.[nbsp][nbsp]I doubt that Joker or Namebargain would give you almost 4 months before someone else could swoop in and buy it away from you, and in a way, I like having this extra security.[nbsp][nbsp]Of course, since they don't just specify a time, the "security" is more of an "annoyance" since no one can count on it on either side...

Thanks, Bob!
Why does that news NOT thrill me? :([nbsp][nbsp]The domain I am trying to acquire undoubtedly has high value, and I wouldn't put it past these nuts to keep the domain for themselves.

I'm after a name that expried on (or around) 14 June. When I go to check up on it now, I get this message:
Domain not found locally, but Registry points back to local DB. Local whois DB must be out of date.
Can anyone throw any light on what that could mean? It was originally registered with Network Solutions, and it wouldn't surprise me if this is one name they plan to auction, but I'm getting the same message when I do a search using the NetSol whois.

This DN could be on the verge of release, I would keep a close eye on it.
