If I have a domain, not hosted at FQ, which I maintain my own DNS records on, I can set that domain to point to one of my directories here at FQ, right?
Would I use a CNAME record to do this?
That would be like an alias, right?

I can set that domain to point to one of my directories here at FQ, right? As long as it's destination is an IRM, otherwise the Apache daemon will not respond to the request unless specifically told to...

That would be like an alias, right? I don't ever recommend using CNAME's for anything in the DNS and always recommend using 'IN A' RR (resource record)...
