Reading this convoluted report from ICANN about the new TLDs, it would appear that we are down to about 15 possibilities:[nbsp][nbsp](At least thats what it appears to me ????)

.i[nbsp][nbsp] -[nbsp][nbsp] .per[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp] .nom[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].biz[nbsp][nbsp] -[nbsp][nbsp].web[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].tel[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].kids[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].union

.museum[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].fin[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].travel[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].pro[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].air[nbsp][nbsp]-[nbsp][nbsp].health[nbsp][nbsp]-

.co-op (or .coop)

Funny I didn't notice my favorite in there ;)

Anyway for anyone who wants to try and decipher it here is the link:
http://www.icann.org/tlds/report/

So now that we have a better idea of what some of the new TLDs may be, us DomainAholics :P can start planning some new purchases!!!

Bob: Excellent snooping and notification! Way to keep an eye out. ;)

Now that I looked at some of the pages, I am not sure where you got your information. Did you compile the best-analyzed ones from all the pages or is there a page with all of the ones you mentioned on it???

I'm sadenned that .wap is not mentioned as one.

Hello Tatu,

Actually, on each of the different specific TLD pages there is a box with all of the applications and then further down there is a second table that contains the TLDs and Registrars that the ICANN staff is recommending to the full body for consideration, basically taking out some of the applications.[nbsp][nbsp]

Based on what I have read this would not preclude ICANN voting for something not on the list, but considering that the new members will not have a vote in the process, only the existing board, then I would be led to believe that only the ones approved by the staff have a chance?

So is the mysterious ways of ICANN[nbsp][nbsp]:P
