Hi guys,
I want to protect some domains from being registered.
So I wanna buy them, but not redirect them to another site,
I don't want to do anything with them, just make sure no one else uses them.
But if I register them I need to specify what server I'm using.[nbsp][nbsp]How do I simply register the domains, pay the registration company and that's it?

I don't think I need "parking", which I don't really understand, and don't want to pay for if I don't need it.

Basically, I want to buy the domains for a couple of years and do nothing with them.[nbsp][nbsp](sounds preety stupid I guess, but that's all I need...)

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

To achieve what you want to do, you will need to park your domain(s). Parking a domain simply places it on hold for future use. Most registration services allow you to park your domain as a part of the registration services. Or, you can request parking service for a domain using the FutureQuest order form.

Not stupid at all...I would estimate that approximately 80% of all domains registered are parked at the time of registration.

Hi Daniel,

I do the same thing with a few domains I registered at http://www.000domains.com

Just pay your $13.50 per year and that's it.

Thanks Rich and Mark for your advice.
I checked 000domains which appear to be resellers for tucows.com.
Anyone else have experience with them?
Also looked at some others and Joker seem to include parking with the advanced package, for 12 EURO (you just leave the ns-fields blank).
Dotster also includes parking with the price ($15).
