I've bought a domain name from joker.com but want to change some of the detail associated with it.

Doing a whois lookup revealed the following information:

-----------

[nbsp][nbsp] Access World (template COCO-545677)
[nbsp][nbsp] jon@access-programmers.co.uk
[nbsp][nbsp] Furze Hill
[nbsp][nbsp] Beacon Road
[nbsp][nbsp] Crowborough, East Sussex[nbsp][nbsp] TN6 3SU[nbsp][nbsp] GB

[nbsp][nbsp] Domain Name: instantcomputerconsultant.com
[nbsp][nbsp] Status:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]production

[nbsp][nbsp] Admin Contact:
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]Jon Lawrance (COCO-545677) jon@access-programmers.co.uk
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]+44 01892 661347 (FAX) +44 01892 660217

-----------

I want to change the Admin contact to another email address. How do I go about doing that?

Thanks,

Jon Lawrance

Jon, just log in and go to their Service zone...you'll be given options on what's needed to be done.[nbsp][nbsp]As long as you know the email address and p/w used for the login, you should be good to go.

I'd give it at least 24h to change.[nbsp][nbsp]Also check http://corenic.net/whois.htm .

Thanks. I've now done the alterations and have received an email confirming they are done.

However, when I go to http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois and do a search, they still show up under my old email (all the other details are the same - I just amended the email address).

How long does it take for these changes to populate to the whois searches?

Thanks,

Thanks for that link, which I've tried.

The admin contact email has changed but not the email at the top where it still reads jon@access-programmers.co.uk.

This should be jon@instantcomputerconsultant.com.

I've emailed joker.com about this but there is no response so far.

Thanks,

Jon, that email address is probably the one you log into Joker with.[nbsp][nbsp]To change it, WAIT for Joker's reply, but here's what they asked me for when I inquired how to do the same thing; this way you'll have the info ready for a quick reply to their response:

"1.[nbsp][nbsp]a domainname that you've registered with us
2.[nbsp][nbsp]your old verificationemailaddress (that you've used for login when initiating this request)
3.[nbsp][nbsp]the last four digits of your creditcard_number which you have used for that order
4.[nbsp][nbsp]the requested NEW verificationemailaddress

"I will change your verificationemailaddress, if it is NOT used. So DO NOT register your NEW verificationemailaddress! Or my check will give me the result that this emailaddress is already registered, i.e. it's NOT free.

So there you have it...have that info handy and ready to reply to their email.[nbsp][nbsp]Each response from them took only about a day, very impressive, I thought.

Thanks for that information.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard a thing from joker.com yet and it's been 1 week now.

What email address did you send your request to? I used info@joker.com.

Thanks,
