How much longer?

The buyer of the domain name mailed and faxed his completed agreement to NS on 4/1/00...I emailed them on 4/26 to find out what the status is and if they ever received the agreement, but I haven't heard back from them (not a surprise).

Anyway, just wondering how long it takes to switch over ownership?[nbsp][nbsp]Don't they have to send me an email for approval first??

Hi,

There was a discussion about Network Solutions in the I-Sales digest recently. It started off with NSI delaying a domain ownership transfer and not responding to emails. The domain transfer was due to change in ownership of a company (not just the domain name). Finally the solution offered was to transfer the domain to an opensrs affiliate. It is supposed to be very easy to make a change of ownership if you are registsred through an opensrs affiliate.

Apparently it is also not very difficult to change the registrar if there are no pending payments for the domain.

there is form for transfering a domain and charges appear to be very low. Anyway email and ask him. You may want to mention I-Sales and also mention your problem with NSI.

I'm trying to understand something....doesn't Network Solutions process their domain ownership transfers?[nbsp][nbsp]I already received the money from the sale of a domain over 2 months ago, and I'm afraid the buyer will get po'd and want to back out of the deal.[nbsp][nbsp]NS does not answer any emails (I sent 2 in the last month).[nbsp][nbsp]How do I know if they ever plan on contacting me?[nbsp][nbsp]I figure they would prefer the new owner stay with them, rather than transferring to another registrar.[nbsp][nbsp]BTW, the domain is paid up until July 2001.
