Good Morning! I'm sure the answer to this question is in these forums somewhere, but so far I haven't found it... hope you can point me in the right direction.

I have my current domain, terrafin.com hosted with FQ.[nbsp][nbsp]I'd like to register another domain based on one of our products, but it will be at least a few months before we're ready to use it.[nbsp][nbsp]I believe what I should do is register the name with NetSol, then just choose the option to park it there.[nbsp][nbsp]Then when I'm ready to go, transfer it to FQ?

Does this sound right?

Thanks,
Jeff

Doing what you said will cause you to have to make changes when you are ready to host it at FutureQuest. What I would suggest is to signup the domain and point it to FutureQuest servers, so when you signup you will not have to make changes or wait for it to propagate.

If you need the info to point it to FutureQuest you can obtain it by going to : http://register.futurequest.net/

The best way to do this would be to park the domain with FutureQuest. This carries a $25 one time setup fee, and you will receive a full catch-all POP email account with the domain while it is parked. Additionally, when you are ready to upgrade to a full package you will receive that $25 credited toward your full package.

NetSol (I believe) charges for domain parking, which is of course not refundable.

Hope this helps.

Brian, thanks for the speedy reply...

Just to be sure I understand correctly, when I register the domain I should use the following for DNS info and Technical/Admin Contact?:

ns1.FutureQuest.net[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] 208.243.19.2
ns2.FutureQuest.net[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] 208.243.19.3
ns3.FutureQuest.net[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] 208.243.19.4

Organization:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] FutureQuest, Inc.
First Name:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]DNS-admin
Last Name:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]FutureQuest
Phone:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] 407 343-1630
Contact FAX:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]407 343-1630
Address:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] PO BOX 420820
City:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]Kissimmee
State:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]FL
Postal/Zip Code:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]34742-0820
Country:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] United States
E-Mail Accounts:[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]dns-admin@FutureQuest.net

And then at that point, do I need to notify FQ, or just let it sit until we're ready to go?

Thanks!

Jeff

Yes, that should get you setup. I would suggest you do what Justin said however and park the domain with FutureQuest. Then when you are ready to purchase an account for it the $25 fee will be credited to your account.
