I know Joker is currently at like $13 and that they're going down to $12, but I've heard that you have to pay a big tax on theirs.[nbsp][nbsp]Is that correct?[nbsp][nbsp]I had a friend of mine recommend dotster.com after he registered 4 names there.[nbsp][nbsp]They offer great rates for long-term registration, and they have a special going on right now:[nbsp][nbsp]$15 registrations until Feb. 15th.[nbsp][nbsp]Anyone had any good or bad experiences with them?[nbsp][nbsp]Also, what risks do I run registering with a lesser-known registrar like this?[nbsp][nbsp]Thanks...

At Joker, they ask you whether you are inside or outside the zone where the tax is applicable.[nbsp][nbsp]If you are not in Europe, you won't have to pay.

I just read in the dnspolicy.com article that someone (Jason?) posted in one of these threads that dotster.com is the highest recommended of the new registrars.
